UBS Series: UNO's Carbon Fiber Handlebar and Seatpost Line

Alongside its established aluminum alloy component range, Kalloy Industrial Co., Ltd offers the UBS Series (Un-Brake System) under its UNO brand — a dedicated carbon fiber product line spanning handlebars and seatposts. Where much of UNO's core catalog is built around aluminum alloy construction, the UBS Series gives assemblers a carbon fiber option engineered to the same certification standards, for applications where weight savings and ride-quality characteristics of carbon fiber are a priority.

What's in the UBS Series

The UBS Series, listed on the official UNO Products page, is organized into two component categories — carbon handlebars and carbon seatposts — rather than a single product type:

Carbon Handlebars

  • UBSD01 / UBSD02 — carbon racing (drop) bars, 31.8mm clamp bore, available in 400/420/440mm widths, with a 246g weight at 420mm. Certified to ISO 4210 R (Road).
  • UBSR01 — a carbon rise bar with 31.8mm clamp bore, 15mm rise, 9-degree backsweep, and a width range from 540mm up to 800mm. Certified to ISO 4210 M (Mountain) and EN 17404.
  • UBSF01 — a carbon flat bar carrying the same ISO 4210 M and EN 17404 certification as the UBSR01.

Carbon Seatposts

  • UBSSP01 / UBSSP02 — carbon fiber seatposts with a 2D forged head, offered in 27.2/30.9/31.6mm diameters and 300/350/400mm lengths, weighing approximately 240g at 31.6mm x 350mm. Certified to ISO 4210 R/M and EN 17404.
  • UBSOP02 / UBSOP03 / UBSOP04 / UBSOP05 — a further carbon fiber seatpost range in 27.2/31.6mm diameters and 300/350/400mm lengths, with the UBSOP02 weighing approximately 182g at 31.6mm x 350mm. Certified to ISO 4210 R/M and EN 17404.

This structure means assemblers sourcing from the UBS Series are selecting individual carbon handlebar and seatpost components rather than a bundled cockpit system — each part can be specified independently to match a given build's handlebar shape, clamp diameter, or seatpost length requirements.

Certified to the Same Standards as UNO's Core Range

Every component in the UBS Series carries the same certification backing as UNO's broader aluminum alloy catalog. The handlebars are approved to ISO 4210, in either the Road (R) or Mountain (M) category depending on the model, and the mountain-rated UBSR01 and UBSF01 additionally carry EN 17404 approval, the European standard for e-bike component safety. The UBSSP and UBSOP carbon seatposts are similarly certified to ISO 4210 R/M and EN 17404. For assemblers building carbon-spec models intended for the European market, this means the UBS Series components can be integrated into an e-bike-rated build without requiring separate certification work beyond what the components already carry.

Where Carbon Fiber Fits in a Component Strategy

Carbon fiber handlebars and seatposts are typically specified where a bike's positioning calls for reduced weight or a different vibration-damping feel than aluminum alloy delivers, without departing from proven clamp diameters and mounting standards. The UBS Series' drop, rise, and flat handlebar options cover road and mountain-oriented geometries respectively, while its two seatpost sub-lines offer a choice of diameter and length combinations to fit a range of frame designs. Because clamp diameters and mounting dimensions across the UBS Series align with common industry standards — 31.8mm handlebar bore, and 27.2/30.9/31.6mm seatpost diameters — these components can generally be specified as drop-in upgrades within an existing aluminum-based cockpit and seatpost lineup, rather than requiring a separate design accommodation.

Sourced from the Same Manufacturing Network

Like the rest of UNO's catalog, UBS Series components are produced across Kalloy's manufacturing network in Taiwan and Vietnam, giving assemblers the option to align carbon component sourcing with the same supply chain used for the rest of their build — rather than adding a separate carbon-specialist supplier relationship to their procurement list.
